He’s an internationally acclaimed Luxury Hotel and Resort Photographer, originally from Austria based in Dubai – United Arab Emirates.
Gary’s photography is professional and innovative since almost 20 years. He's well known for his unmistakable skills in lighting, an uncompromising eye for details from the shoot till the final impeccable retouched images. He is an approved and preferred head photographer for several high end hotel chains.

at White Cube Studios.
Gary Schmid is a visual artist and had passion for photography from an early age. This led to have his own darkroom at the age of 17 and continued developing his photography ever since. After completing his 3 years photography school, an additional 2 years study with diploma at the Multi Media Design Academy and gaining a Craftsman’s Master Certificate in Photography he opened his own studio in Austria. With more business coming in from the Middle East, in 2009 he moved to Dubai. From there it went very fast super international and he now conducts photography assignments almost all over the world.
Gary likes to challenge himself and states: “challenging myself on a global scale in many different forms of photography helps to maintain a fresh style. It enables me to continually strive for excellence.” His photographs have been published in various magazines around the world, images been on billboards in many global cities, many different images are on food packaging and his travel photographs have been displayed in art galleries in both Dubai and Europe.
